This past 20th of December, 2023 the unvailing of a mural created in the modern craft of mosaic art. This colossal work of art is of non the other than the1975th World Welter Weight Boxing Champoin of the World - ángel Luis "Cholo" Espada.
The-local-municipality-of-Salinas showed-their-eternal-appreciation-for their local and world athlete; not only for his great achivement attained, but the years his name, his achievement and his contribution has enriched the lives of many.
The-celebration-was-held-in the sports coliseum rightfully named after the man himself "ángel Luis Cholo Espada".
The ceramony was a warm and inspiring collage of appriative words, stories of his great boxing legacy and photos taken from all those present.
Along side the Champ, his entire family, Children, Brothers, Sisters, Grand Children sat with great pride knowing the aplause echoed due to Cholos' loved contributions.
One of the event speakers, a local auther and sports journalist Jossie Alvarado Bermudéz took the people present down memory lane and brought back to life those moments where many have never heard or experienced the moment, but with his vivid and colorful narration, Jossie made it all come to life.
What a better time in a mans' life-when your town, your friends and your family come together to give you the greatest HURRAH!
